Several years after obtaining a degree in Visual Art at the South Australian School of Art, Christine moved to the beautiful Tweed Valley in New South Wales where she now lives on a rural property with her partner in life and their three cats, ‘The Phantom’, ‘Mr Puggles’ and ‘Winnie’.

Very much inspired by the energy of the surrounding mountains, Mt. Warning to the North, Nightcap Ranges to the South and the Border Ranges to the west, Christine’s work is a reflection of her attitude to life.  ‘Life of course has its ups and downs but is a truly wondrous experience and I trust that my paintings reflect this. They are an extension of my life and my way of interpreting whatever is happening at any given time.’

ps. I certainly hope you’re illustrating children’s books!
You probably already know the work of Lisbeth Zwerger, which I also love.

I only recently found your work, in a little shop in Uki. I love its whimsy and the way you populate the visual field with a veritable travelling zoo of curiousities and transformed household objects. Regal looking cats, trees that must have been planted by Mr Curly, kids, fecund goddesses and fishes that remind me of Klee’s goldfish, to name a few. I bought the last print of My Dreaming at Uki and gifted it to a friend for his birthday. Do you have any more? if so I will buy a couple direct from you. Thanks for your lovely work.
